$1,500.00 $1,100.00

Claude Hulk was a British artist painting in multiple mediums including oil and watercolor. He was born in 1876 and died in 1955. He was a prolific artist. He was born in the United Kingdom and much of his art is in the hands of English collectors. This painting was sold in June 2019 at Tennant’s Auction House, Leyburn, North Yorkshire, UK. The price of the sale is unknown, but this is that original oil, which I was able to obtain at a recent auction.

This a large, framed original oil painting titled “Bradda Head Boat Rescue” from 1925. It is clearly signed in the bottom right corner and the frame is the original frame…95 years old! The image is 20″ x 30″ in striking colors depicting a ship in distress during a storm off the coast of Bradda Head, a rugged headland in the south-west of the Isle of Man, in the British Isles. The frame is 26″ x 36″.

Here’s an original oil from 1925, and in the light, this is a striking painting.
