Carolyn Young is an adopted child of Chinese-American parents who lived in Hong Kong. Her artistry is her interpretations of female historical characters derived from Asian history, legend and folklore. She paints with watercolor, acrylic and gouache (thick watercolor) on Japanese silk. This painting is both black lithograph with hand coloring by the artist.
