Marc Chagall “Ruth and Boaz” 1960

Marc Chagall (1887-1985), a French-Russian artist, illustrated many books of the Old Testament. This is from the Book of Ruth, when Ruth the Moabite meets Boaz, her kinsman redeemer. This is a lithograph in seven colors on thick wove paper. It is a vibrant painting published by Mourlot Freres (brothers) in Paris in 1960. It is incredibly framed, matted and covered in plexiglass. The image measures 10 x 14. Other Chagall paintings are available.
