Mike and Robin A. Ziegler-Goryan have finalized the itinerary for our September trip to France. We can book our travelers out of any airport, departing September 23, 2025 and returning October 3. Air France is our preferred airline (or comparable airline).
We land at Charles De Gaulle airport in Paris on September 24 and the group is transported to a 4-star hotel in the city center of Paris. The next day, September 25, a full breakfast is included, and the group has a private bus tour of Paris with a tour the newly renovated Notre Dame Cathedral.
On September 26, breakfast is provided, then we meet our tour bus and head to the Champagne region of France to tour a Champagne House or two, most likely Veuve Clicquot for tasting and Champagne Vollereaux for lunch and more tasting. We return to our 4-star hotel in Paris.
September 27 is a free day and Mike and Robin have some special places we can go including Mike’s favorite place, Basilica St. Denis and The Basilica of Sacré Cœur de Montmartre and the artists colony. Perhaps a tour of the Opera House to see the Chagall ceiling. Shopping is good, too.
September 28, we leave Paris and take a private bus to Tours, France and visit the birth place of Joan of Arc, Orleans, France, then tour my favorite Chateau in Loire Valley, Chambord, where Leonardo DaVinci designed the castle’s staircase.
We spend the night in a 4-star hotel in Tours and the next day, September 29, breakfast is included and we tour the beautiful Château de Chenonceau, Gardens and Galleries, again spending the night in Tours.
On September 30, we head to Bayeux, after a full breakfast, stopping to sample apple brandy, known as Calvados, and spend the night in our 4-star hotel in Bayeux in the French region of Normandy.
On October 1, after breakfast, we have a full day tour of Normandy and the D-Day sites including Pointe du Hoc, the D-Day Museum, the awesome American Cemetery and take time to visit Omaha Beach. We return to our Bayeux, 4-star hotel, then on October 2, we enjoy breakfast and tour Mont St. Michel, including the Abbey. If the opportunity arises, order the omelet.
On October 3, after breakfast, we return to Charles de Gaulle airport and return home.
